Containers Stranded in Lo Manthang After Heavy Snowfall
Heavy snowfall in Upper Mustang has stranded cargo containers at the Nechung Customs point in Lo Manthang–4. Containers that had gone to collect goods on Monday evening were forced to halt at the Korala border crossing after intense snowfall overnight.
Snowfall and rainfall were reported across Himalayan and high hill regions on Tuesday and Wednesday. While transportation has been disrupted, the season’s first winter rain and snowfall have brought relief and happiness to farmers in the Himalayan and high hill areas.
