Deepmala Kharel Dhakal Crowned First Miss Nepal Hong Kong International 2026

The first-ever Miss Nepal Hong Kong 2026, Deepmala Kharel Dhakal, has been crowned during a ceremony held at the Eaton Hotel, where many notable figures including Rachana Gurung Sharma and Ashma Kumari KC (Miss Nepal World 2024)  witnessed the historic event.

At just 23 years of age, Deepmala has gained success and recognition in different profession as well as in creative spheres of work. She is multilingual, speaking Cantones and Mandarin fluently, and is a highly recognized Emcee in Hong Kong. She is also a TEDx recognized speaker. Deepmala is also a professional, working as an investment strategist for Blackrock, while maintaining her global as well as her Nepali cultural roots.

Beyond this, Deepmala loves to do sports too. She has completed many marathons while also being an active taekwondo competitor, among other activities, bringing her personal qualities of being hardworking, dedicated, disciplined and striving for self-improvement.  Because she is consistently involved with these activities, she has become a cultural symbol of representing flexibility for young people of Nepal in other countries around the world.

Deepmala has also been recognized for her social activities. She received the title of "Goodwill Ambassador" at Nepal Cancer Hospital for her involvement in social causes and other activities for community awareness. Her role and capabilities were recognized at being able to also advocate and represent.

Now, Deepmala is going on to become a representative from Hong Kong to participate in the Miss Nepal 2026 pageant in Kathmandu, following her victory. Deepmala’s community of approximately 30,000 Nepali residents in Hong Kong will have their hopes and identity represented on a national stage through her participation.
