Free employment-oriented training to be conducted for youth.

Kathmandu, December 1. Government of Nepal's National Youth Council is going to provide employment-oriented skill development training to youths in 13 fields. Accordingly, the council will organize 390-hour training in all seven provinces.


The training includes plumbing, tailoring, assistant beautician, building electrician, barista, cook, carpenter, and shuttering machine operation, according to the notice published by the council. Similarly, the training for community animal health workers, motorcycle service mechanics, building painters, barbers, Montessori-related skills, and bakery skills will also be provided.


Executive Vice-President Surendra Basnet shared that these employment-oriented skill development trainings are being launched under the approved annual program for the fiscal year 2082/83. According to Basnet, the trainings are supposed to aid youths in easily transitioning into self-employment immediately after its completion.


The interested youths are required to fill out the application form by clicking the link of Google Form by Mangsir 15, 2082. The selected applicants will be included in the training, said Administrative Chief Gehanath Gautam, adding that the skill testing will be conducted after the completion of the course.
