Kathmandu — Police have arrested Jay Rudra Jha, a resident of Kirtipur originally from Mahottari, for making a false bomb threat in the Kathmandu Valley. Authorities were alerted after Jha called the emergency number, Control 100, claiming explosives had been planted in several schools on Bhadra 13.
His call caused concern among authorities and prompted an immediate investigation. Police later confirmed that no explosives were found at any of the schools, ensuring the safety of students and staff.
According to police, Jha admitted that he had not prepared for his postgraduate exam at Jan Maitri Secondary School in Kuleshwor. To prevent the exam from taking place, he intentionally spread panic by making a false bomb threat.
Authorities have classified the incident as a deliberate attempt to disrupt public peace. Jha is currently in custody for further investigation, and police have assured the public that the case is being handled according to the law.
