Kathmandu, 30 Kartik: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has strongly criticized the current government, saying that it thinks the arrest of him and Ramesh Lekhak reflects "good governance".

Oli made these remarks on Sunday during a meeting with representatives of Press Chautari at his residence in Gundu. He accused the government of misleading the Gen-Z group by organizing them, drafting their demand letters, having them read aloud, and giving them to the group in a way that created undue pressure. According to Oli, these were meant to create a false impression that the government was responding to the demands of the youth.

He also criticized the government's "talentless drama," likening their political moves to a poorly performed play. “I have seen the Gen-Z demand letter. I know who drafted it, who had it read to the group and who organized the whole process. In any case, it was a farce. Without spending a single penny, we got to witness this unconstitutional government’s spectacle,” Oli said.

He further said, "A play must have at least something of an art or creativity. Whatever is happening, a play is being staged sans art, and we are compelled to see it." With these comments, Oli registered his criticism of the government's tactics: he accused it of trampling democratic norms and exploiting youth activism for political theatre.
