According to police, a 34 year old man, Ashok Bhatt, has been arrested on allegations of brutally attacking his wife by pouring hot oil on her and setting her on fire. The incident reportedly took place on 5 Poush 2082 while the victim was in the kitchen cooking sel roti.

Police said the woman was suddenly attacked inside the kitchen, causing severe injuries. Following the incident, she was rushed for immediate medical treatment. Her condition has not been detailed, but authorities confirmed she was injured in the attack. Meanwhile, the accused husband was taken into custody by the District Police Office, Kanchanpur soon after the incident.
