Nepali Teen Honored for Anti Corruption Poster
Nepalese student Anurag Pangeny, 15, who won third place in an international anti-corruption poster competition in 2025, was recently honored by the Russian Embassy in Kathmandu for his achievement.
Anurag competed in the 10–15 age group under the theme “Fix the Cracks in Youth Society.” His poster was recognized for its powerful message and creative expression, promoting honesty, accountability, and social responsibility among young people.
The competition saw Fatima Rawan from Algeria take first place and Sokhzakhon Ablullayev from Uzbekistan finish second. The Russian Embassy highlighted that Anurag’s work represents a meaningful contribution to the global fight against corruption and serves as an inspiring example of youth engagement and leadership.
During the award ceremony, Minister-Counselor Rinchen Rashev of the Russian Embassy presented the medal and encouraged Anurag to continue pursuing creative projects in the future. He said the poster has become a source of inspiration for youth worldwide.
Speaking about his work, Anurag said his poster aims to show how corruption weakens Nepali society and encourages citizens to uphold integrity and responsibility.
