Government Approves 5 Billion for Elections
Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Bhattarai stated that the Commission had requested NPR 7.5 billion, but the Ministry of Finance approved NPR 4.96 billion.
Kathmandu, 28 Kartik: The government has approved a budget of NPR 5 billion to hold the election of the House of Representatives on 21 Falgun.
The Election Commission had requested NPR 7.5 billion, but the Ministry of Finance approved NPR 4.96 billion, the Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Bhattarai said.
"The resources for the election have been secured," Bhattarai added.
He further clarified that if more funds are required, the government will facilitate it in the time to come, but for now, NPR 5 billion has been approved.
