Chepang Family to Get New Home With CM Baniya’s Support

A Chepang family in Kailash Rural Municipality is set to get a new home with assistance from Bagmati Province Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya. Lal Kumar Praja Chepang, 50, and his wife Sanu Maya, who has a disability, have been living in an unsafe, dilapidated house for several years.

On Monday, CM Baniya provided NPR 200,000 from his service funds to ensure the safe construction of their new home. The family, which depends on agriculture and livestock for livelihood, had been unable to repair their house due to financial constraints.

The Kailash Rural Municipality recommended the family for assistance, highlighting their vulnerable condition and need for support. This initiative will give them a secure and comfortable place to live.

So far, CM Baniya has helped build homes for three families in his constituency, including Mithumaya Sunar of Manhari and Suman Singh Praja of Raksirang, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to social welfare and community support.
