Becoming Chief Minister from a room is inappropriate: UML Vice-Chair Pandey

He said that there should be a discussion within the party as to why the person who would be the Chief Minister did this.
CPN-UML Central Vice-Chairman Surendra Pandey has said that it is wrong to appoint a Chief Minister in Madhesh even though the Chief Minister is appointed by the UML.

Leader Pandey told reporters in Narayangadh on Wednesday morning, "Whatever happens, it is wrong to sit in a room and decide to become the Chief Minister. It had to be done politically. How can the government be run after it has been formed in secret like this?" He said that it should be discussed why the person who will be the Chief Minister did so. "It was said that this was the entire decision of UML. It seemed as if UML itself was standing on two sides," he said. He appealed that when it is not possible, we should calm down but not go into a confrontation based on this.

Party leader Pandey said the status of all the delegates coming to the general convention will be equal. About the remarks made by the current Chairman KP Sharma Oli in the media that no one other than himself will get a chance to speak at the general convention, he said, "Be they big leaders or small leaders, the status of the delegates who come to the general convention is equal. If our mindset is good, the party will move in the right direction."
