Bill Gates Expresses Regret Over Meetings With Jeffrey Epstein

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has expressed regret over his past interactions with late financier Jeffrey Epstein after his name appeared in millions of pages of Epstein-related files. Speaking to Australia’s Nine News, Gates said he deeply regrets every moment spent with Epstein and described the association as a serious error in judgment.

Gates acknowledged that he met Epstein several times after their first meeting in 2011 but denied ever visiting Epstein’s island or having any inappropriate relationship with women connected to Epstein. He said the meetings were “foolish” and insisted he had no involvement in Epstein’s criminal activities.

Responding to draft emails found in Epstein’s account suggesting misconduct, Gates said the emails were false and were never sent. He questioned Epstein’s intentions, suggesting the financier may have been attempting to damage his reputation.

The news comes after Melinda French Gates, Bill Gates’ former wife, also spoke publicly following the release of the files. She recalled painful moments from their marriage but said she has moved on. The couple divorced in May 2021 after 27 years of marriage and share three children.

A spokesperson for Gates previously dismissed the allegations as baseless, stating that the documents only reflect Epstein’s frustration and attempts to harm Gates’ reputation, not any sustained relationship or wrongdoing.
