Over 88,500 Tourists Visit Nepal in August, 22% Rise from Last Year
Kathmandu: More than 88,500 tourists entered Nepal in August, a 22% increase compared to last year’s 72,717 visitors, according to the Nepal Tourism Board. The majority of tourists came from India, with 35,505 visitors, followed by China with 7,533. Other notable arrivals include 6,068 from the US, 5,956 from Sri Lanka, and 4,262 from Bangladesh. The rise reflects growing interest in Nepal’s trekking, cultural, and adventure tourism post-pandemic.
