Cricket fans in Kathmandu Valley enjoyed close-up views of the NPL trophy as Kathmandu Gurkhas toured key locations.
Kathmandu Gorkhaz, one of the teams of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), showcased the prestigious NPL trophy across key locations in the Kathmandu Valley today, drawing cricket fans from across the region. The trophy display, part of promotional activities ahead of the league’s second season, aims to engage fans and generate excitement for the upcoming tournament.
On Wednesday, the trophy was first displayed in Bhaktapur from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, giving local supporters an opportunity to view it up close. The team then moved to Patan Durbar Square, where the trophy was displayed from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. In the afternoon, the exhibition continued at Basantapur from 1:00 PM, allowing fans to celebrate the sport and capture memorable moments with the trophy.
The second edition of the NPL, organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), is scheduled to take place from Mangsir 1 to 27. The tournament will feature the same eight teams from the inaugural season, reflecting the growing enthusiasm and support for domestic cricket in Nepal. Organizers hope that the trophy tour will further boost interest in the league and inspire young cricket enthusiasts across the country.
